May Your Birthday Sparkle

I am sharing today a birthday card I made for a dear friend a month or so ago.  She loves bright colors and bling.  Can't you tell from the card?  LOL.  My inspiration came from a card on Pinterest with gems on it that said, "You Sparkle."  Here are the details of the card:

Size:  5 1/8" x 6 1/8"
Card Stock:  American Crafts, Bazzill
Embossing folder:  I'm not sure.  It doesn't have a manufacturer name on it.  I thought it was Darice, but I can't seem to find it online.  (You can barely see the embossing in the photo anyway.)
Label:  Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge cut at 3".  The scalloped square is a 2" punch.  I then put two layers of squares on top of that and topped it off with 16 gems from my stash.
Tag:  Punch; Sentiment: computer generated
Black decorative piece at top of bow:  Punch
Rose:  I am Roses
Ribbon:  Unknown.

Hope you like it.  Thanks for commenting!

Praying For You

Happy Friday blogging world!  I hope you are staying warm, or if you have a warm climate right now, I am so jealous!  We just had our first snow of the year, about an inch or so.  That's enough for me!  I'm ready for spring already!  LOL.

I finished a Bible study back in the fall, and am now facilitating my very first Bible study.  In fact, I am facilitating two at once!  One of the things the facilitator of our first Bible study did was assign someone for us to pray for.  I am sharing today the card I made for my prayer recipient.  She is a sweet lady, inside and out!  Here are the details:

Size:  A2
Card Stock:  American Crafts
Embossing:  Cuttlebug
Flowers:  Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge cut at 4 1/4" and 4 3/4"
Leaves:  Spellbinders die
Scalloped oval punch:  Marvy Uchida and layered on top of a Stampin' Up label punch
Ribbon:  Unknown
Scalloped Edge:  Spellbinders die

I am entering this into the "Use a Flower" challenge at Little Scrap Pieces.  Here is a link to the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.  You just made my day!

Happy 18th Birthday

Happy Friday everyone.  I am back today with a birthday card I made for my son-in-law's brother.  He is a sweet guy who just turned 18.   Here are details of the card:

Size:  5 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Card Stock:  Various, including Bazzill and American Crafts, my favs!
Balloons:  This is a new punch I found, made by Paper Studio.  Such a simple, easy way to make a birthday card.  I'm sure I will use it lots.  I used Baker's twine for the string.
The sentiment is by David Tutera from Joann's.
Stars:  McGill Punch
18:  Hippie Chick Cuttlebug font.
I also embossed my background using a Cuttlebug folder.
I punched several layers of cardstock in different colors using a border punch.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment!

Make No Mistake

I decided to share another card for a co-worker with my blogging friends.  This one was made for another card maker's birthday.  How tough is that!  LOL.  Here are the details:

Size:  5"x7"
Card Stock:  American Crafts and Bazzill
Patterned Papers:  Recollections
Scalloped Circle:  Spellbinders
Sentiment:  Computer generated and cut using a Spellbinders Tag Die and then layered on a oval and scalloped oval punched label
Ribbon:  Unknown;  Fancy Buckle:  Unknown
Roses:  I Am Roses
Typewriter:  Suburbia Cricut cartridge cut at 2 1/2" (I think -- forgot to write it down!)
I can't remember the inside sentiment, but I think it was something to the effect of, "Your birthday is a day to celebrate."

Hope you like it.  Thanks for commenting.
