Love is Patient; Love Is Kind

I am sharing with you today the card I made for my husband for our 34th wedding anniversary a few months ago.  It's a pretty simple card, but I liked the "love is patient" Bible verse theme.  I saw a similar card on Pinterest, and in usual fashion, I wanted to put my spin on it.

Here are the details:

Size:  A2
Card Stock:  Core'dinations; Recollections; American Crafts
I printed the verse on card stock and changed the font and font color for the words "love."
Heart:  Sweethearts Cricut cartridge cut at 2".  I then ran the heart through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder to emboss it.
Ribbon:  Unknown
Small hearts:  Punch
34:  Olivia Cuttlebug font

Thanks for looking and for taking the time to comment.

Bountifully Blessed

Happy Friday everyone.  I am sharing with you today the card I made and gave to my boss this week for Bosses' Day.  Yes, you read that correctly; this is a Bosses' Day card.  I've worked with my boss for 24 years.  He is a great leader.  He is kind.  He goes a great job for his clients.  And I am blessed to have such a nice person to work with.  That's what the inside of the card says -- that I am blessed to work with someone so nice, and I am thankful.

And I am excited that I could incorporate this week's die cut challenge for Stuck On U Sketches into my card.  We were to use either a pumpkin or vegetable.  These veggies were perfect for my card!  Come on!  Join us!

Details:

Size:  A2
Card Stock:  Recollections; Bazzill; American Crafts
Patterned Paper:  DCWV
Veggies:  Country Life Cricut Cartridge cut at 3 1/2"
Photo corner:  Stampin' Up punch
Embossing:  Cuttlebug
Sentiment:  Computer generated using Word's WordArt, which was then punched with a 1 1/4" circle punch.  The green button has a pearl glued on top.
Border punch:  EKSuccess

Hope you are inspired!  Thanks for taking the time to comment!

If We Could See Into Heaven

I wanted to share with you today a sympathy card I recently made for a co-worker who lost her mother-in-law.  Here are the details:

Size:  A2
Patterned paper:  Recollections
Card Stock:  Bazzill, American Crafts
Card shape:  Quilted Christmas Cricut Cartridge cut at 5 1/2" (I also rounded the corners on the edge.)
Window die:  Poppystamp Madison Small Window Die
I printed a picture from the internet of a cloud scene and turned it into a black and white photo to put behind the die.
The window topper is a Fiskars punch that I cut and embossed using my Cuttlebug.
I also added a Spellbinders Fleur de lis die over the window to peep out as an extra embellishment.
Roses: I Am Roses
Leaves:  Martha Stewart Punch
Sentiment:  Computer generated and punched with a circle punch and layered on a scalloped circle using a punch
Inside sentiment:  As I recall, the inside sentiment said something to the effect of, "We would be at peace, knowing that our loved ones are safe in the arms of God."

A Couple of Simple Sympathy Cards

Today I am actually sharing two sympathy cards I made back in June!  Wow.  It's a little bit of a nice surprise when I find cards that I took pictures of and never got around to putting them on my blog!  These were made for two friends at church.

Here are the details as I remember them.

Size:  A2
Card stock:  American Crafts
Orange Flower:  Prima (I think)
Dove:  Jolee's
Rickrack:  Just the Edge by Bazzill
I punched out the label shapes and glued them on the top of the card and then cut the edges that were sticking off.  I then added the punched sentiment on pop up dots.  I saw this idea on Pinterest months ago and loved it.
Pearls:  Unknown

Size:  A2
Card stock:  American Crafts
Butterflies:  Martha Stewart punch
Sentiment was computer generated and punched with a Stampin' Up punch
I also used a Cuttlebug folder for embossing the background.
Pearls:  Unknown

I know lots of people say that sympathy cards are difficult, so I hope you are inspired.  Thanks for commenting.

Have a Berry Sweet Birthday

This was our granddaughter's birthday card that I made for her back in August.  She wanted a strawberry pie for her birthday dessert, so I decided to put a strawberry on her birthday card as well.  Here are the details:

Card Stock:  Core'dinations and Bazzill
Patterned paper:  Recollections
Strawberry:  Hello Kitty Cricut Cartridge cut at 4 1/4"; the strawberry is on a wobble, which she really loved!
Scalloped circle:  Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge cut at 4 3/4"
Berry Sweet:  Country Life Cricut Cartridge cut at 2"
"Have" and "Birthday" were computer generated and punched using the Stampin' Up Word Window Punch
Rose:  I Am Roses
