My Birthday

This is a layout I've been thinking about for quite some time. I just wasn't thrilled about doing it. I think it's because it is about me. Ashlyn's layouts are so much easier because they are fun. I borrowed my neighbor's Stamped cartridge, and I really like it. I also used three Cuttlebug embossing folders on this layout. I'm just glad this one is done!

Susan's Birthday Card

I made this card for my sweet, sweet neighbor, who had a birthday on Friday. I hope she likes it! I used lots of Stickles on it. The watering can is from Walk in my Garden - Cricut cartridge (of course).

Justin's Graduation

Our friends' son is graduating from high school this weekend, so I made this card tonight to send to him. I found out today that his school colors are maroon and gray, so even though these aren't my favorite colors for a card, that's the colors I chose to use. I used both my Cricut and my Cuttlebug on this card. I used the tiny bubbles embossing folder (I think that's the name of it), and I'm beginning to get hooked on the little embossing folders for cards. I used a new one for this card, and even though it is really for a birthday, I thought "Celebrate" would work well for a graduation card as well. I hope you can see the detail of the embossing and the fact that everything is on pop-up dots.

Happy Birthday Colby

I made this simple card tonight for my nephew, who is turning 19 this week. I didn't want to spend a lot of time on it because I don't think he will care if he even gets a card -- just an envelope and a check would do! But, he does love dogs, so I decided to put this cute little Cuttlebug embossed puppy on his card. I hope he likes it!

Ticket to a Free Ride

My daughter, three of her best friends, and two of my friends came over today for an all day crop. We had plenty to eat, and lots of Cricut cartridges to play with. This is what I accomplished at the end of the day -- one layout! But, I'm pleased with it. Ashlyn loves this wagon that my parents gave her at Christmas time. She will say, "ride, ride." After you pull her from one end of the house to the other and back, she will say, "again." Of course Mimi and Poppy oblige!

Stairway to Heaven

Our sweet little granddaughter loves to try to climb our stairs. She is always sneaking to the stairs and trying to get up them because she loves to get into my scrapbooking stuff and her Aunt Whitney's makeup (thanks to Poppy for letting her play with it to begin with). Sometimes when I tell her, "no, no," she will stop, turn around, and just sit down on the stairway and stare ahead as if she is saying, "I'm not trying to go up the stairs. I'm just sitting here being the sweet angel that I am." This is what my journaling says on this page.

I struggled with this page for a while. I wasn't sure how I wanted to do the title -- whether to mix the fonts, or use one, whether to use this title, or whether to try a different one. But, in the end, the bright colors are fun, and they remind me of the smile that Ashlyn puts on my face when she's climbing up those stairs!

Hope you enjoy looking at these!

Two New Birthday Cards

I made these cards tonight -- the lilac one for my sister-in-law, and the brightly colored one for a co-worker. Both of them of course have some sort of Cricut cuts on them. I don't know what I would do without my Cricut! I used lots of Stickles on the brightly colored one. I love Stickles too!

A Mother's Day Card for My Daughter

I am so proud of my daughter. She is such a wonderful mother to my granddaughter. I decided she deserved a Mother's Day card from her Mom (and Dad). So, I got busy tonight and made this one for her.

Mother's Day Cards

I made these Mother's Day cards for my mom, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Love my new Mickey & Friends Cricut cartridge, and I haven't even cut one of the characters yet! I can't wait to do that! There's so much on this cartridge. Can't wait to use the purse, lipstick, etc. on some of Ashlyn's pages.

Once Upon a Time Layout

I have been working on this LO for such a long time! I have been working on so many cards lately that I haven't done a layout in several weeks! This one just didn't seem to be working, until I received my Mickey & Friends cartridge, and when I cut the scalloped edge in yellow, I began to like it! I added the pink lace, and it all fell into place! Thanks for looking!

Jordan's Graduation Card

My daughter's boyfriend is graduating from college on Saturday, so I made this card for him. It's pretty simple! He is graduating from Appalachian State University, and the school colors are black/gold, thus the theme on this card!

I woke up at 6:15 on Monday morning and remembered that I needed to make a dessert and a birthday card for an attorney at work! So, I scrambled upstairs, and this is what I came up with. Lots of folks have commented that 30 is not over the hill, and I totally agree. To quote my boss almost 20 years ago, "life begins at 30."
